NZ Associate Registered Nutritionist (ARNutr), BAppSc (Human Nutrition)

Kia ora, I’m Sera, an Associate Registered Nutritionist with a background in diabetes nutrition and metabolic lifestyle support. I work with all forms of diabetes and have supported many people using GLP‑1 medication, drawing on both practical experience and the research I’m currently involved in.

My approach is shaped by lived experience: raising two busy boys, navigating type 1 diabetes, and learning firsthand what real‑life behaviour change actually looks like. Living with a chronic condition has grounded me in empathy and patience and shown me how important it is to feel understood, supported, and met exactly where you are. It has also taught me that meaningful care extends far beyond the hospital or GP. True support needs to embrace a whole‑lifestyle, community‑based way of caring for people, where real connection, understanding, and long‑term change can genuinely take root.

I grew up on the West Coast surrounded by home‑grown food and simple kai, and that connection to real, nourishing food still guides my practice today. No strict rules, no guilt, just evidence‑based care that supports you in a practical, meaningful way.

I also offer community group support and education, subscriptions (coming soon) and workshops, giving people steady, accessible guidance they can tap into at their own pace. If you’re seeking nutrition support that feels calm, real, and genuinely supportive, you’ll find that here.

Ngā mihi.
